Cavity brick or concrete block veneer – efflorescence

Cause
Moisture in the bricks causing salts to migrate to the surface leaving a whitish-grey residue
Repair
- usually weathers off with rain washing
- remove by brushing off deposits with a stiff bristle brush; rinse off with water
- determine source of moisture in the bricks; address the cause
