Cause

Weathering, UV light exposure – chalking will be more visible with darker colours

Repair

  • wash surface thoroughly then sand lightly. Repaint with a minimum two coats of semi-gloss or high gloss acrylic paint

  • select paint of a lighter colour where possible to make chalking less likely or less visible in future.
