Metal tile roofs – dented or damaged tiles

Cause
Damage occurred during installation
Repair
- if roofing is accessible from the underside, dents may be able to be pushed out
- replace badly damaged sheets. Remove front edge fixings from the damaged section and the section above it; raise the upper tile and slip out the lower (damaged) one; reverse the procedure to install a new section. Fasten using hot-dip galvanised nails along the front edge. Be aware that the replaced tile may be different in colour from the rest of the roof.
