Thermal expansion and contraction of cladding

Repair

  • if damage is minor the cladding may be left
  • if damage is severe, remove damaged boards and replace. When replacing boards, fix at the centre slot first, then fix outwards from the centre. If short lengths are fixed, one end may be rigidly fixed so all expansion/contraction movement occurs at the other end
