Plastic (uPVC) wall cladding -- scratching
Cause
Trees or shrubs brushing against the cladding
Repair
- if scratching is minor, the cladding may be left
- if scratching is severe, remove scratched sections of cladding and replace. When replacing boards, fix at the centre slot first, then fix outwards from the centre. If short lengths are fixed, one end may be rigidly fixed so all expansion/contraction movement occurs at the other end
Cause
Cladding dragged over a rough surface during installation
